Volunteers

Vues & Voix relies on the work of over 400 volunteers who, every year, devote thousands of hours of reading to record the books.
Occasionaly, Vues & Voix records English documents. We are looking for qualified narrators who could read on demand on flexible schedules. We are also looking for readers that can speak one or more foreign languages such as Spanish, Chinese, Creole, Arabic, Polish, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, English, the German as well as the Montagnais to read different texts.

Becoming a volunteer reader is:

• Lending his or her voice for the recording of adapted audio books.
• Read aloud at first sight, accompanied by an instructor.
• Ensure compliance of the standards of reading and recording of Vues & Voix.

Skills:

• Mandatory training on standards of reading and the work of the monitor. (Available at Vues & Voix)
• Excellent reading at first glance.
• Punctual and respect for others.
• Versatility.

Becoming monitor is:

• Assist in the recording of adapted audio books.
  • Ensure compliance with the standards of reading and recording at Vues & Voix.
• Commit to his teammates and to the staff of Vues & Voix.
